Echeveria Benimusume is a compact rosette succulent with fleshy rounded green leaves with a red highlight. It’s a lovely accent to a collection of other green highlighted succulents and behaves well in a pot.

Succulents make great table and office plants because they don’t take up too much room, they are textured, and sometimes surprise you with a tall flower spike. Benimusume has an orange flower. We just love them.

The trick to succulents is to plant them in free-draining potting mix, put them in the sun and keep them on the dry side.

You only need to water them when the soil is dry down to a few centimetres, and barely at all in the winter months. Read our and become an expert in about three minutes.

• What to use me for: I’m a structural interesting desk plant and brighten up your coffee table. If you’ve got a terrarium, I’d love to move in.
• I grow to: I’ll reach about 20cms tall and 10cms wide.
• Where to place me: In a light sunny spot, but not direct boiling sun through the window.
• How far to space me: Give me 10cms.
• Soil Conditions: I must have free draining potting mix or my roots will rot.
